Drivers can find useful and enlightening video clips that will help hone their driving skills . Over 50 educational video clips that range from one to five minutes with new drivers in mind. These are a great compliment to the California Drivers Handbook and brings the information written in the handbook to life. DMV presents a list of videos with captions. Captions and subtitles make videos accessible to a wider audience by allowing people who can not otherwise understand the audio track to follow along.

The Safe Driver Application automatically responds to your incoming SMS messages with your own customized message. You can also listen to your incoming SMS messages read aloud through your speaker. The California DMV would like to promote safe driving. Texting while driving is a dangerous distraction. The new Wireless Communications Device Law (effective January 1, 2009) makes it an infraction to write, send, or read text-based communications device, such as a cell phone, while driving a motor vehicle. |
